Hello hello P3,
Things to Note this week:
- Tuesday is the Christmas Lunch day. Please ensure your child hands their choices slip in by Monday as the kitchen must know numbers to be able to prepare. Thank you to all who returned them this week.
- The p3 Christmas celebration afternoon is this Wednesday. We are asking that children do not wear or bring party clothes as children will not be able to bring a change of clothing and Wednesday is our PE day. Instead we are suggesting children wear their Christmas jumper over their PE clothes. We are asking for a £2 per child donation to cover the cost of snacks, donation to mission Christmas and a donation to the Brunton Theatre who provided us access to their fab panto, Rapunzel.
- As it is the final full week of term there will be no reading homework this week. Instead I encourage you to read for pleasure. Try to read a new story each day if you can.
- A week on Tuesday ( the 22nd) is a Head Teacher Award Assembly so keep your eye out for that important little surprise in the post!
Since this year has forced us all to become Google Classroom experts we are going to try to use it a bit more in p3, especially for homework.
All the children who handed in their homework on Friday now have their Glow passwords to access Google Classroom glued into their blue homework jotter on the inside cover. I encourage you to please note this down elsewhere too in case the blue jotter goes a miss or gets damaged.
Everyone has their spelling homework as per usual, however it has been posted on GC instead of being stuck into jotters as well as a numeracy task. This just means we are being a little more eco friendly and homework instructions are always accessible even if the blue jotter goes missing or if I accidentally miss a jotter in my marking pile!
Can blue jotters please be handed in on Friday of this week.
Science – P3 have been enjoying learning on Monday mornings with Mrs Cummings and their class teacher. Mrs Cummings is looking for some household items so if you are able to donate any of the following this would be much appreciated:
CDs, DVDs, plastic disposable sports bottles with lids, corks, old plastic loyalty cards, small wind-up toys, pringle tubes and lids, plastic ice-cream tubs.
Christmas Cards – all pupils can post cards in the postbox between Monday and Thursday where they will then be removed and isolated before delivery on the following Monday. This will be available from Monday 30th November until Thursday 17th December. Please ensure all cards have the name and class clearly on the envelope.
Monday 30th November 2020 – Thursday 17th December, school Christmas post box
Tuesday 22nd December 2020 – Tuesday 5th January 2021, Christmas Holiday
Wednesday 6th January 2021 – Pupils return
Thank You 🙂
