This term most reading activities will take place in school. Some reading will be set as homework. If your child does not have specific reading homework please encourage them to read for a minimum of 20 minutes each night and try to include a variety of different texts including newspapers and non-fiction. This can be done through traditional sources or digital media. Towards the end of this term pupils will be asked to select one of the books they have read and prepare a book report. They will also be asked to keep a log of the books they have read.
Practise 4 or 7 Times Table (Pupils have recorded in homework jotter) for Friday 9/9/16
Last week P6 had their last French lesson with Stephanie and surprised her with a collection of British school songs, poems, rhymes and food as a thank you for all that she shared with us about French culture.
Read chapter one of your new group reading book and be ready to discuss it in your literature circles next week. Also think of five open/fat questions (that can’t be answered with one word) about the chapter.
