P1 Week beginning 27.3.23

We have started to use SeeSaw in class to support our learning, however, your child cannot join the SeeSaw class until they have handed in their letter. If you need a new one, please ask me.

P1 Trip Letters can be handed in from now until May 17th.

Family photos can still be emailed/brought in to add to our family wall. Thank you to everyone who has passed theirs on!

Friday –  The children can wear blue for Autism Awareness Week. We will be discussing autism in class too. Please note there should be no football strips/fancy dress etc.

Friday – We are visiting the Library to return our books and pick new ones to read in class.

We are still looking for items which can be used for junk modelling. For example, cereal and package boxes, kitchen roll tubes.

Homework

Reading: There will be no reading homework this week as I am assessing key words and moving around groups! Please continue to practise your child’s key words with them. Key words may be orange, green or white, depending on the stage of book.

Phonics/Spelling: Children will  bring home their spelling jotter with a new list of words to practise. This should be handed in on Friday. Please remember that it is really important you tell your child the words to be spelt and they do this independently.

P.E – Children have P.E. on Monday and Wednesday with Miss Simpson. Please ensure your child brings a P.E kit to change into.

French: Mrs Lynch is teaching French to the class every Thursday afternoon.
