Over the last two weeks P6 has been learning to tell the time in French so we went outside to test how well we could understand by making the time when we heard it in French. This week we did the same but using ourselves as the clock hands!

On Monday P6 were set off on an Easter maths hunt in the playgroup where 12 maths problems were hidden. Miss Longford was extremely impressed with how well everyone cooperated and their were some excellent discussions about how to solve the problems – all in the beautiful spring sunshine too!

At French club we’ve been learning about time and playing this well known game in French. We also played Duck, duck, goose with French vocabulary for clothes to help us remember it.
Please note that homework should be completed for Friday this week, if possible, due to the holiday.

Monday
Writing homework– Writing homework jotters will be collected today. There will be no writing homework this week.
Phonics homework– This week we are practicing the ‘ue’ sound and long and short vowels. A worksheet with these words will be sent home- please help your child read these words by sounding them out. These sheets should be kept inside the sounds folder.
Please continue to practise previous sounds at home especially the trickier ones.
Reading homework– Reading books will be collected today and reading homework will commence again after the holiday. Please ensure your child has their reading book with them
The circus will be visiting P1 today for a circus skills workshop.
Tuesday
P.E. day- please ensure your child has their P.E. kit with them.
Wednesday
Drumming performance- Parents are invited to come in and watch the children’s drumming performance at 11:15 today.
Children will be going to Loanhead Church for an Easter service this afternoon.
Thursday
Easter activity morning- Children will be joining 
the primary two class for some Easter activities this morning. Please can each child bring in a boiled egg for egg painting.
P.E. day- please ensure your child has their P.E. kit with them.
Library books are due back today.
School finishes at the normal time for the Easter holidays, there will be no homework over the holidays.
