P7 Homework / Info – Week Beg: Monday 23rd November

Hi P7,

Information

  • I have put photographs on Google classroom of the P7 Remembrance Assembly for those interested in checking them out.
  • Remember Football Club starts this week on Monday 23rd November. 3:15 – 4pm.

Homework

Very Well done to those pupils who have finished their pupil talk and also to the excellent talks we have already enjoyed listening to in class. I have been mightily impressed and equally intrigued, learning some interesting facts about family members and WW2.

Your homework this week includes,

1. Learn your spelling words and complete the tasks.
2. Maths Activity 1 – Fractions Friday. Learn the revision sheet given to you on converting fractions into decimals and percentages. (10 minutes would be the minimum I recommend on learning your fractions each week.)
3. Maths Activity 2 – Complete the worksheet on ‘Three Figure Bearings.’ This can be completed by printing the sheet and then taking a picture to upload.
Alternatively, you can also create a new google doc and type the answers there to turn in.
4. Continue working on your pupil talk, if you have not finished it!

NOTE: I will be providing paper copies for pupils who are still having issues with accessing Google Classroom. Please let me know on Monday 23rd November if you require a paper copy.

Fractions Friday
The work to be learnt this week as your task will be tested on Friday 27th November by Mrs Caldwell.

Thanks,

Mr Nelson

🎅CHRISTMAS CARDS – Info and Deadline🎄

I can’t believe it is this time of year, in such strange times it is great to have some excitement.  The children have been busy creating Christmas cards for our annual fundraiser and these should be coming home on 6th Nov.

You can choose the greeting inside, or leave it blank.  It does not have to be Christmas.  We have some Happy New Year cards made or Eid cards made and I like to create Thank You cards for my children to send out after Christmas.  There are many options.

If you wish to order, you must return the order form and design with payment back to school in a polly pocket or sealed envelope.  You can pay cheque, cash or ParentPay.

If you would like a blank order form for siblings etc there will be some spare at the school office.  The cards will be collected by our design company on Thurs 12th, please can you return to school, with payment, ASAP.

This is always a fun fundraiser and the children really enjoy seeing their designs in “real life items”.

Thanks for your support.

P7 Info / Homework – October Break

Hi P7,

I wanted to say thank you for an enjoyable start to the year in P7. It has been great seeing you all again and learning in our actual classroom!

As you know it is now our October holiday and I hope you have a nice break with your families.

Homework: Pupil Talk

There will be no set homework for the week we return to school from our break however I have a new assignment posted on Google Classroom that I want to share.

This assignment will be our first pupil talk of the year.

For our first pupil talk in term 1, I thought it would be fun to choose World War Two as our theme.

We have been learning about events that took place during the war each week, so many topics will be familiar to you.

The talk should be completed and ready to present by Friday 13th November. Hopefully that should give you plenty of time to complete the assignment. Check Google Classroom for further details.

I hope you enjoy this assignment and I am very excited to listen to all of your pupil talks!

Enjoy the holidays!

C. Nelson
