Athletics Competition –Well done Loanhead Primary for WINNING the athletics competition last week – beating five other schools. Loanhead, you rock! We will wait to hear if we gained enough points to go on to the next stage of this event!
Parent/Teacher/Pupil Meetings ‘Learning Trios’
The second round of meetings will take place on Thursday and Friday , 6th and 7th February respectively. Appointment forms will be sent out this week.
Poetry– All pupils across the school have the task of reading and reciting a Scots poem. P7 have ‘Scots Wha Hae’ and ‘Lament for a Lost Dinner Ticket’ to choose to read. We’ll hear the recitals this week beginning Monday 20th January to choose two pupils to recite their poem at a special assembly on Friday 24th January. Expression and performance are very important!
Maths/Numeracy – A revision sheet will be sent home on Wednesday to be completed by next Wednesday.
Debates – Children will be given a topic to research this week and prepare to debate this. Debates will take place week beginning 27th January so this gives children one week to plan. More information to follow.
Pupil Talks/Kids Teach – Many children are nearly finished preparing their WW2 pupil talks. I will confirm dates with pupils this week as to when they can present their work.
