P7 News Wednesday 18th September 2019

Hi all,

Info for this short week:

Wednesday – PE

Thursday –       Rugby

–           SSPCA workshop

Independent Study Task – This week, the maths task is a roundup of recent work covered in class based around the upcoming Rugby World Cup in Japan. This task should be handed in by Wednesday 25th September.

World War 2 Topic – In a week or so, P7 will begin to study the history surrounding WW2.  There will be many activities and tasks relating to this. P7 will present the Remembrance Assembly at school on Friday November 8th. Time to be confirmed . Parents welcome.

If anyone has any photos, memorabilia, artefacts, books or anything relating to WW2 that can be brought in, that would be most helpful. All items will be carefully looked after!

If anyone has a family member who remembers the war as a child and would like to share their stories with us, that would be incredible. Please let me know.

School Camp Info

Children will bring home a kit list this week. A meeting (for parents only; no children)  about camp is planned for Thursday 26th September at 6:30pm at Burnbrae Primary, Bonnyrigg.

Parents Meetings/Learning Trios

There are two sessions coming up. One is on Friday 27th September in the afternoon and the other one is Thursday 10th October from afternoon into evening. Appointments have now been allocated based on response slips received back. Your child should bring their appointment time home on Thursday. Remember, this is a new system of target setting between Teacher, Parents and Pupil and therefore, your child is required to attend the meeting too.

Many thanks in advance for your support,

Miss S Brunt
