We are excited about the “1+2 Languages Initiative” which, based on learning the mother tongue plus two additional languages, is aiming to revolutionise language learning in Scotland.
Pupils will learn the first foreign language from P1-P7 and continue with this until at least S3. The second foreign language will be introduced no later than P5. In Loanhead we are all learning French and have second languages of BSL and Mandarin for P6 and P7
